3/20/2020 - Loan Extensions

The Goose River Bank wants to help relieve some of the stress in these challenging times.

We are allowing customers that have been negatively affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19) to defer their next 3 monthly loan payments by extending the final maturity of their note for 3 months. This does not result in the bank covering the cost of your monthly payments or making the payments on your behalf. Rather, your payments are deferred and the term of your loan is extended accordingly.

Some justifications for the ability to defer payments will be:

  • Temporary loss of employment
  • Necessity to self-quarantine as required by your employer
  • Loss of business income/employment as a result of “social separation” measures put in place by the local or national government agencies
  • The need to stay home to take care of family members who are sick or do not have care options
  • Other concerns not listed above

We hope this helps to alleviate some financial stress as we work through this unprecedented situation. This is a challenging time for many. But no matter what happens, one thing will remain the same: We will be here for our communities!

The Goose River Bank is committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for our clients and employees. We are continually monitoring developments with the COVID-19 outbreak. In an effort to mitigate community spread, we will be closing branch lobbies at all three of our locations effective March 18th. The Goose River Bank will remain open in order to provide banking services; however, we will only transact business in person at branch drive-thrus or by appointment if necessary. We encourage you to utilize our 24 hour online and mobile banking services at www.gooseriverbank.com as much as possible. These services include the following:

  • View accounts and transactions
  • Transfer between accounts
  • Make mobile deposits
  • Set email and text notices to track your account balances
  • Bill pay
  • View online statements and check images

In addition to the above, you can access cash at any of our ATM locations.

The Goose River Bank is prepared to assist our customers as we meet the challenges of this virus together. We want you to know that The Goose River Bank will make every effort to ensure your safety and the safety of our employees while continuing to meet all your banking needs.

Finally, The Goose River Bank urges you to beware of scams and criminals using fear/intimidation, trickery, urgency or disinformation related to the virus to attempt to steal your sensitive, personal or account information. Watch out for strange calls, emails, texts or websites that look like they are coming from legitimate businesses or government agencies asking for information like SSN, usernames/passwords (login info), account numbers, credit or debit card numbers, PINs, etc. The Goose River Bank will never request such information through email/text/outbound calls. Always check your account statements for official websites and customer service numbers and call those numbers directly rather than giving out information over the phone/email/text.
